The Real Housewives of Atlanta: What Would they Drive?

BCHW-RealHousewives-Atlanta

In our continuing series, we toss away the age-old paparazzi question ‘What Will They Wear?’ and replace it with ‘What Will They Drive’? Here at Buying Cars Her Way, we tend to have cars on the brain. That’s no different when we sit down to watch one of our favorite guilty pleasures, The Real Housewives. So far, we’ve assigned the Venturi Fetish, Toyota Prius, and a hot Lamborghini to the Miami, Beverly Hills, and New Jersey Real Housewives , respectively. Now we’re moving on to the ladies of The Real Housewives of Atlanta

This one seems pretty obvious.  Our favorite cast member is the only original Real Housewife remaining in Atlanta: NeNe.

NeNe Leakes is famous for her combative nature and no-holds-barred sense of humor.  She worked her way up from the bottom, overcoming numerous hardships along the way and never losing the infectious laugh that has made her famous.  We love NeNe because she is nothing less than real; she’s arguably the most down-to-earth woman in all of Real Housewives lore.  For all this, we’ve got Cadillac in mind for The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Just like NeNe’s fellow Real Housewife Kenya Moore, Cadillac was born in Detroit.  And just like NeNe, Cadillac is a historical survivor: founded in 1902 from the ashes of Henry Ford’s first failed attempt at an automotive company, it not only survived but served in World War I, World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam wars.  On its way to resurgence among U.S. luxury buyers, Cadillac also overcame the Great Depression and, more recently, GM’s bankruptcy reorganization—which parallels NeNe’s divorce from/remarriage to husband Gregg Leakes.

NeNe once famously told her Apprentice co-star Star Jones, “Bring your street game, ‘cause that’s what I bring.”  Cadillac, like NeNe, most certainly brings its street game: the 2013 CTS-V puts out 556HP horsepower and goes from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds.  This could come in handy with the almost-perpetual construction on those crazy Atlanta highways where, it would seem, speed limits are merely polite suggestions.

Next time, we’re going to bring our street game to The Big Apple… the one and only New York City. Can you guess which The Real Housewives of New York  personality we will match with the perfect car?
